Georgie Ball, a 28-year-old Australian bridesmaid, has become an internet sensation after a wardrobe malfunction at her best friend Ellie’s wedding in Mudgee, a town 280 miles northwest of Sydney.
Ball was performing a dance routine when the rear seam of her dress gave way, accidentally flashing the guests, including Ellie’s grandfather.
While many netizens said they would have been “unable to sleep” for years if they were in Ball’s place, she appears to be taking the incident in stride.
She described Ellie’s wedding as the “most memorable” one she has attended in an interview, while revealing that her next turn as a bridesmaid is already lined up.

In a video that now has more than 32 million views, Ball can be seen attempting the worm — a popular celebratory dance move — alongside her groomsman partner, who happened to be her own brother.
As soon as Ball hit the floor, the originally sultry slit of her dress expanded from her mid-thigh to nearly her lower back, giving the attendees an unrestrained look at her behind.
Gasps could initially be heard in the audio accompanying the video, but they soon turned into cheers after Ball carried on and finished the choreography instead of leaving the room in embarrassment.

According to Ball’s interview with news.com.au, the dress was destined for disaster from the start.
The issues with its seam began when she and the other bridesmaids were having drinks before the ceremony.
That was when Ball and her brother came up with the idea of doing cartwheels for their dance.

They practiced the move on the deck, and Ball said she felt a rip immediately. But with the wedding about to start, her friends reassured her that it was only a small tear and “no different from the other girls,” who had wardrobe issues that day as well.
With the dress compromised, Ball told her brother she would do the worm instead of the planned cartwheel.

Ball walked the outlet through how the now-viral moment of her dance routine unfolded in real time.
“I felt it go as soon as I hinged forward a couple of centimeters, but I thought, ‘Well, I’m in it now — the show goes on,’” she said.

Wedding content creator Paulina from By Your Side Socials captured and posted the video online with permission from both the bride and Ball.
She admitted her “jaw hit the floor” when she saw the rip happen.
“She is a real one for letting you post this,” a comment under the video on Instagram read, while another called Ball “a living legend.”

A third celebrated Ball changing her Instagram bio to “dress splitter.”
“Her confidence needs to be studied,” remarked a fourth.
Others commented that their reaction to the situation would have been completely different.

“I would have had my meal in the bathroom that night,” said one.
“I would think about this moment every five minutes until the day I d**,” noted a second, to which another user responded, “I can’t afford the therapy I would need after this.”
“I would have d**d on the spot,” asserted another.

After the dance, a guest named Jamie tried to help Ball by securing her dress with nearly 20 safety pins.
“I walked back in to everyone clapping and hooraying, but as soon as I went back to sit down for dinner, I felt the safety pins split open again,” Ball said.
The situation escalated to the point where the bride’s mother eventually handed her a shawl to tie around her waist.

The shawl, per Ball, did not stop her from hitting the dance floor again, where she performed another worm and danced to her heart’s content.
Ball’s dress remains at the dry cleaners, still ripped and unfixed, as a memento of the night of her best friend’s big day.

Ball said she will next take on bridesmaid duties at her brother’s wedding in October. For that outing, she is planning with precautions in place.
“I might do a front flip, but I probably won’t have a back seam on that dress,” she said.
“Its only funny because its not me,” a social media user wrote
